About Smokehouse Q

BBQ restaurant

Smokehouse Q is a chinese bbq in Roswell, Georgia. It is listed at 4401 Shallowford Rd #168, Roswell, GA 30075, which places it among the local businesses of Roswell that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Roswell; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Georgia are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–7:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (770) 587-4227. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, smokehouseq.com.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 381 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese bbq & roast meats in Roswell.

TL;DR Absolutely try this place out! Excellent food, ambience, and service. I came in for lunch with my brother on an overcast, quiet Saturday afternoon. I noticed the music first; it was just the right blend of mellow and upbeat, and at just the right volume to provide pleasant background without overpowering thought and conversation. The playlist was 1960s hits I think: Brown eyed girl; Build me up butter cup; He’s so fine. The cashier and servers were attentive and friendly; we were served quickly and were checked on twice. Come here hungry! I got the 2 meats plate with brisket and wings. The wings were great. The brisket may have been the best I’ve ever had. The flavor was exceptional and the texture was perfect. As for sides, the mac & cheese and collard greens were lovely. The pickled red onion and cucumber was also perfect (honestly I should have asked for more). Their in-house BBQ sauce (on the table) and their South Carolina mustard (upon request) both worth trying. At the end, only bones remained. Overall, this felt like the perfect place to sit with friends and loved ones, reflect, and give thanks for life and good food. Two final notes: everything felt very clea

I stopped in for lunch and left a very happy customer. The brisket sandwich was delicious – tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. It’s not the absolute best I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely good enough that I’ll be coming back for another one soon. What really blew me away were the collard greens – they absolutely killed it! Perfectly seasoned, tender but not mushy, with that deep Southern flavor. I’d honestly make a special trip just for a big bowl of those. The sweet tea was excellent (had to doctor it with a splash of unsweetened so I didn’t go straight into a sugar coma, but that’s a compliment to how good it was). The restaurant itself is clean and modern inside but feels warm and nostalgic thanks to all the vintage signs (loved the old Coke memorabilia). They had great 50s/60s music playing too – perfect vibe while eating. Overall, a solid spot with standout sides and a welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

This was our first time visiting. We were not disappointed. The service was kind, sincere, and gave us great suggestions of what to select. The Mac n cheese was my favorite along with the pickled onions and pickles. But everything was very good. We will be back again soon.

10/10. No notes. Got the pork plate w collards and Mac, and it was phenomenal. Portion sizes are nice, flavor is on point. Pork was tender and nice flavor, collards were done well and Mac was creamy. Tea is good too. Staff was very kind, got food pretty quick, granted it was slow in here but still. Awesome stuff? Will be coming back

Excellent place! Good true country music playing at a decent level where you can still hear your company talk. Customer service was excellent! Prices are what you would expect. My kids love this place! We will be making this a regular. Food was good, like home cooked. Clean place as well! Give it a try. :) My kids kept insisting I leave a good review and my son even insisted on leaving his own tip for the sweet lady who served our table. πŸ˜‚
